Logical Coders Juniors

This course is the starting program for developing foundation of coding skills in children. It covers programs like Scratch Jr, Ozobot, Neuron and more. It is suitable for the age group of 5+.

Scratch Jr

ScratchJr is an introductory programming language that enables young children to create their own interactive stories and games.

Children snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing. Children can modify characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, even insert photos of themselves – then use the programming blocks to make their characters come to life. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.

Digital Art

Children will learn to create fascinating designs, drawing and edit pictures using MS Paint and Paint 3D.

Microsoft Paint, also called MS Paint and Paint 3D are computer programs made by Microsoft. It allows children to create picture files as well as edit picture files saved on their computer. Children will express themselves creatively and learn – to add texts to images, edit photos, colour palette, use different tools such as the paint bucket, pencil, eraser, spray can, colour picker, line and curved line tools and multiple shape tools.

Ozobot

An Ozobot is a small robot that uses RGB colour sensors on its underside to ‘read’ the colour of the surface it is driving on.

It is a great tool to teach the basics of programming and robotics in a fun and interactive way to children. It is programmed by inserting coloured areas, the Ozocodes, using markers on the trajectory. It can also be programmed with Ozoblockly, a visual block-based editor. Children will combine both hardware and software. They will learn about different sensors, colour codes, visual programming, timers and directions.

Sphero

Sphero programmable robots help kids learn fundamental STEM concepts through play-based learning and educational STEAM activities.

Children dive into programming on day one with Sphero maze activity. Sphero has a programmable 8×8 LED matrix, so they can code it to change colours when Sphero rolls, stops or starts, reaches a goal, or whenever else they’d like. The Draw Canvas, a part of the Sphero app, is a perfect introduction to programming. Children are challenged to think about the different steps that go into programming a robot while taking into consideration the robot’s restrictions.

Neuron

Neuron is a programmable electronic building block platform for STEAM education that inspire the creativity.

It contains dozens of different electronic modules such as LED panels, sensors, ultrasonic, and motors. Through simple combinations, various creative inventions can be created. The Neuron system offers over 30 electronic blocks, including a voice sensor, light sensor and infrared sensor. With the easy-to-use flow-based programming software, the neuron can be “active” without complex code programming to bring concepts and ideas to life.

mBot

mBot is a STEM coding robot for beginners, which makes learning robot programming simple and fun.

Children will learn about a variety of robotic machinery and electronic parts, get to grips with the fundamentals of block-based programming, and develop their logical thinking and design skills. Children will learn to use ultrasonic sensor to program mBot to avoid obstacles, line follower sensor to code to follow various black and white lines or use the remote control and the app to program mBot directly and explore its countless other possibilities.
